FoamPack Puerto Rico, with over 40 years of experience in packaging solutions, sought a technological leap that would allow them to integrate flexographic printing, digital printing, coating, and rotary die-cutting in a single production line.
The Caribbean and Latin American market increasingly demands personalization, varied run lengths, and shorter lead times while maintaining high graphic quality standards.
The Solution
They installed the Kento Hybrid® Press, the first hybrid converting line of its kind, integrating flexographic printing, digital printing, overprint coating, and rotary die-cutting in a single production flow.
The fully integrated architecture operates as a continuous rotary die-cutter from feeder to stacker. The digital print array is the largest in the industry for sheet-fed corrugated, with sheet processing capability up to 81 inches wide.
Results
The line operates at speeds up to 260 feet per minute while maintaining graphic quality and production efficiency. The 66-inch large-format rotary die-cutting system and multi-out single-pass production allow multiple pieces to be manufactured simultaneously, maximizing yield per sheet.
